ADDED TO SUMMER SOULSTICE LINE UP
Currently causing a stir on both domestic & international soul/jazz circles, Daisy Hicks is all set to appear on our main stage in June...
English-born & Australian-raised, music has always been a part of Daisy's life. Her father was legendary drummer Tony Hicks who was part of jazz-rock trio Back Door & who worked with the likes of Georgie Fame & Lulu Official. Daisy is also related to legendary rock & blues artist Chris Rea...
Starting out as a performer in his hometown of Miami, then as lead singer of Niteflyte (Ariola Records) enjoying several pop hits, before becoming a solo artist with A&M Records, to his current status of being an independent performer, HoJo continues to wow fans around the world with his music. He's worked with Barry White, Madonna,Phyllis Hyman, Boyz II Men, Jermaine Jackson & Tom Jones. Over the years he's toured extensively with fellow soul artists Kashif, Melba Moore & Lillo Thomas.
His 1982 funk jam 'So Fine' (actually a B-Side to 'Keepin' Love New') made it to number 1 on the R&B charts & was all over black music radio in the States at that time. It also did well in the UK reaching top 40's status. Howard scored another massive R&B chart topper in three years later with 'Stand Up' & also gave us another UK dance floor fave with 'Knees', produced by the legendary Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis.

LETS TEE OFF
It is always a huge honour to be asked to assist in a local event and on a sunny but windy Friday 13th May 2016 Johno took part in a charity Golf Day at the Shire in Barnet, held by our friends at Oliver and Akers.
Golfers were perfectly safe from Johno's poor swing as he did not take part in playing but rather was asked to witness if any of the golfers managed to hit a hole in one on the 12th Hole, had they of done so they would have won a £20,000 car. Sadly due to windy conditions the car remained safe, however the event was a huge success and over £4000 raised for the respective charities. Congratulations to everyone involved.
During the day Johno managed to say hi to former Barnet FC players and managers Gary Phillips and Giuliano Grazioli and former Arsenal and England number one David Seaman.
En5 Radio would like to say a massive well done to our friends from the Summer Soulstice, who on Saturday 30th August 2015 handed over a huge cheque for £40,000 to Cherry Lodge. This was raised at the annual Summer Soulstice event held in June 2015.
Well done to all involved.
